Beautiful Lugano, Switzerland will be the location for the 7th Lugano Horn Workshop, an intensive week of study with American Horn Quartet founder David Johnson, Norwegian soloist and teacher Frøydis Ree Wekre and Basel (Switzerland) Symphony principal horn Alejandro Núñez. Join these three masters, along with Sandro Ceccarelli, principal horn of the Verdi Orchestra di Milano, and Andreas Kamber, principal horn of the Bern Chamber Orchestra, from July 5-11, 2009 for lessons, ensembles, master classes and concerts at the host school, the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, and around the town of Lugano.
The workshop is open to all hornists; no audition is required. Ensembles will be formed based on experience and individual abilites to insure each participant as much personal attention as possible. Concerts will feature both small chamber
ensembles and a large massed choir.
The cost for the course only is 600 Swiss francs; room and board is not included in the price.
